*siPOOLs are complex pools of 30 carefully selected siRNAs, each targeting the gene of choice.
-Defined complexity fundamentally improves the activity of siPOOLs as compared to established RNAi reagents:
-Specificity: Each of 30 different siRNAs is present at very low concentrations
=> sequence specific off-target effects are avoided
-Potency: All 30 siRNAs cooperatively silence the same target gene. Each siRNA is selected for highest KD efficacy.
=> target gene knock-down becomes highly efficient and robust
=> recommended concentration for standard cell lines is 1-3 nM
